The acronym SSN stands for Social Security Number. A Social Security Number issued to the registered citizens of countries that have a social security system.
Social Security Numbers are used be credit recording agencies to track an applicant’s past borrowing data.
Social Security Numbers are frequently used by fraudsters who find deceased people or newly registered members of a country’s social security system.
SSNs are used as the ultimate proof of a person’s citizenship, and entitles them to whatever rights and benefits they have under a country’s entitlement act.
For the purposes of our web site (CLF) the acronym SSN will almost always be used in reference to the loan application process.

I read in Wikipedia that a department store owner or manager used his employee’s SSN on a sample Social Security Certificate put in all purses and wallets sold from the store. Over 40,000 people used that SNN illegally.
Wonder what that employee thought about this. One of the first identity theft victims perhaps.
