When you are applying for a loan online you want to remember the security aspect of the whole process. Make sure the look up at the URL to make sure that the website is using some form of encryption so that your personal information can’t be hijacked from some hacker. You want to be caught entering all of your finance information, address, social insurance number, etc. into an online application form that is just a basic old-fashioned type of HTML form.
It’s pretty easy to see whether or not the lender’s website is secure. There will be an HTTPS inside of the URL. This usually means that you are on a secure site. You would be surprised at how many sites still don’t have good encryption and security, so don’t just assume that you are secure and start entering in all of your information.
