It’s no surprise that people get loans for plastic surgery, if you consider that a cosmetic procedure is usually a luxury and not covered by medical insurance plans. In some cases cosmetic surgery IS covered by insurance, but the vast majority of the people reading this only have one option if they truly want some form of plastic surgery performed – they need a loan from a bank or a private lender – these kinds of loans are applied for and approved every day, all across the United States.
If you want to apply for a loan so you get a particular surgical procedure carried out, we suggest going to the clinic where you are considering getting your work done. This is the best way usually becuase the doctors and nurses in these clinics will have a short list of loan providers that have given their past patients financing.
Be aware that the plastic surgeons sometimes have a kick-back system in play with lender, and these could possibly be high APR loans that could cripple your personal finances – especially if you default on any of your payments in the future. No surgical procedure is worth losing your credit rating for – unless of course the operation is for your immediate health concerns, in which case we would hope your insurance company would cover you.
Sometimes an elective surgery has such an emotional effect, your doctor may advise you to get the operation ASAP - this is usually when a man or woman is disfigured in some way – it’s not for procedures like tummy tucks, breast augmentation, facelifts, and liposuction. This is why it’s not fair to make fun of someone trying to get approved for a loan so they can have a reconstructive procedure carried out, on their body, or face – we have to understand that not all plastic surgery is paid for out of vanity.

My sister had breast cancer and ended up having to get a loan for breast replacement because the insurance comapny wouldn’t approved the funds. I don’t think that is fair at all.
Where can women go to get approved for loan for plastic surgery when an insurance copmany won’t “come along”
Great loan blog by the way.

Like Sandy said in this short article – the most common place to find a loan for plastic surgery is by speaking with the doctor’s office where you want the procedure done. They sometimes have deal in place with a lender so you can get a cheaper loan for the surgery, AND the doctor gets some sort of kick-back from the bank or private lender.
