Good Blog Posts on Debt Reduction and Relief

Since some of our writers have been talking allot about debt reduction and relief, we thought we should perhaps list some other blogs that are writing about the same subject. There are many articles online that touch on debt reduction. Just a short list for now, because I wanted this list to be current and not just older posts from yesteryear.

At CLF we have hit a new milestone for traffic. We have had over 300 unique visitors a day for the entire month of July. This is a big deal, as it has been allot of hard work (even though we really like the writing and watching the progress) and patience as we watch page rank climb, visitors climb, and of course residual income climb.

We never really worried about interacting with other bloggers who write about Personal Financing, and in our case, specifically about loans. CLF was launched back in November 2008 and we’ve slowly picked up writers, authors, and the odd commenter, but we hardly interacted with other bloggers. I suppose this is a mistake, but we wanted to concentrate on simply writing quality articles that consist of fresh, original content. I’ve always thought that was the most important factor with any blog.

So today we will change that approach and begin taking part in the discussions at other Personal Finance related web sites. Now that we have a small team here at CLF, we should have time to take part in these online activities.

So today we are going to list some really good articles that have to do with debt reduction;

  1. From Free Money Finance: 11 Smart Ways to Help Get Out of Debt – a good article explaining on how to get rid of some high interest credit card, get your spending under control, maybe decreasing your lifestyle somewhat, stop using credit cards, and earning more money.
  2. From Man Vs Debt: Are You Eating Yourself Into Debt – this article talks about expensive eating habits and shopping habits. Interesting to me because healthy eating can be so much cheaper if you are even a little bit resourceful.
  3. From Frugal Dad: The Secret to Getting Out of Debt – this article has some interesting consumer stats worth checking out when you get a chance. So true about the shrinking middle class, or a new understanding of what the middle class will be defined as.
  4. From Five Cent Nickel: How to Get Out of Debt:Hardcore Tools for Getting to Zero – a cute metaphor on construction tools and debt reduction tools. Some really good tidbits regarding the idea of getting tough with creditors – interest rates etc.
  5. From Debt Kid: Debt Free by the End of the Year – a personalized approach whereby Jessica discusses a goal for debt freedom for herself and family. These personal accounts are always interesting to read.

So that is it for today readers. We’ll create the odd post like this so that we can introduce you all to some other good Personal Finance blogs. There is lots to learn, and we all need to get on top of our finances. We need to take responsibility for our lives, and when we do we feel much better.
