Angel Lenders for Personal Loans

angelloansAngel lenders who provide personal loans are not as rare as you may think. If you are desperate for a loan that is for a good cause, you could find a philanthropist who may approve a free loan and Angel loan.

The most common definition of what an Angel loan is, or what and Angel lender is, is a lender who invests capital in a business or enterprise. In reality the first definition of a Angel Investor was someone or entity that invests in a charity of some sort.

These kinds of investments generally come with strings attached. Meaning the lender will want to have briefings on how the investment is taking affect, and how the monies are being distributed.

To borrow money from an Angel investor you need to have a back ground that proves you are “worthy” of approval. You need to make sure your venture is extremely viable or investors and lenders will be very reluctant to approve their private funding.

Keep in mind that Angel lenders are usually private lenders that are not restricted by any government agencies, or societal and jurisdictional entities.

Many businesses who are in start up mode will consider and Angel investors if they don’t have any success raising capital from traditional sources – sources such as conventional banks and shareholders.

    Hi Meredith,

Have applied for a loan locally yet? I’m assuming since you found Clf online you may have exhausted the local banks and lenders? What part of the country do you live in? These details have to be discussed before anyone at Clf can give any good advice on your situation.

Be careful and read all the fine print before asking for a loan with any lender. Don’t come across desperate what ever you do because predatory lenders start licking their lips. Try not to be in a rush and panic.

I am in need of a relatively short-term loan (90 days) of $10,000. I am due a very large sum of money in February 2011 but need to get some things in order before then. I propose a 15% return on the loan ($1500 negotiable) and can make payments of $300-$500 monthly, with the full balance paid by the end of February 2011. Please, only serious parties respond, as this is a legitimate proposition. I will of course provide verification of impending funds for balance repayment upon request.

We are in need of a loan for $22,000 for a personal loan for a 1 week detox program for my husband. He had back problems beginning in 2004-2005 and was prescribed Vicodin which escalated into an ongoing addiction to prescription drugs. Subsequently, he found a doctor who prescribed Suboxone to counteract the withdrawal symptoms of the drug, but it turned out to be equally addictive. So far, she is not offering a sound system for detox. Through much research, we have fond the Waismann method of detox, which takes one week at the cost of $22,000. This is a perfect time frame, as it will allow my husband to return to work faster, but the price of the program is $21,00. This is why we are trying to procure a loan. While we have the emotional support of our family and friend, we have no means of a traditional loan or gift money.

I am in need of a $6,000 personal loan to bridge the gap from where I m at, to where I m going.

Through focus, tenacity and a whole lot of starring off into space, the kids are grown and finding their way and I have manifested the job of my dreams. It has been a long time coming.

Where I was once a superwoman, career, husband and kids(3) I had give back my cape, all tattered and torn after I left the husband and was taken hostage by my kids to become that which I had feared the most, A stay at home Mom. We, the kids and I, have just survived over a decade of under-employment (short order cook, waitress, I even detailed yachts for a summer for 10 bucks an hour. That was fun until I proved to myself that I could hang uside down off a dock at 48. After that it just hurt), mixed with unemployment (baking 40 loaves of bread everyday and selling them at the end of the driveway for 2.50 each, spending the day waiting my turn at the food bank) has the ground comming u at me faster than my parachute is going to open.

The position does not begin until April. I need help to get there in one piece.

As anyone who has spent anytime as a single Mom under the poverty line can attest; it is hard on the nervous system as well as the underwear drawer. I need the loan to put myself back together, Body (food, rent), Mind (computer, law reference books as it is a teaching position and get my focus off of daily survival and on remembering the things I know) and Soul (the peace of mind to remember that I am strong and have a contribution to make) The experience was great, learned a lot, cried a lot and gave up a lot. Fortunatly I also laughed a lot. BUT THAT IS ENOUGH NOW PLEASE.

My future looks bright but I m still looking at it from the from porch of the poor house. I need help to take that next step so that I can arrive strong and be the best that I am capable of being.

    Sincerely, Barb

I am in need of a $20,000 personal loan that will enable me to consolidate and eliminate all my past debt. My wife cannot work because of health issues, and it is becoming very difficult to keep up financially. I am in desperate need of a fresh start. I am willing to repay the loan on a monthly basis, with payments in the $300-$400 range, or less, if possible. I am a Desert Storm Veteran, and I have served my country well. It seems that there is little to no help out there for someone in my situation. A loan like this would definitely be an answer to our prayers. Please—help us .

Hi Toody. All of our staff is currently in the process of launching our non-profit, peer-to-peer lending forum. In this forum you will be able to apply for a loan and communicate with possible lenders.

We’re sorry that we have not be able to have our staff chase down a lender for you, but the sheer volume of requests we get via email, has made it imperative that we create this lending, borrowing and meeting place.

We’ll be launching in the next few days, so we are very sorry if you are going to need funding sooner than that.

    Hi again Toody – our peer-to-peer (or P2P) site location is up now;

    http://californialoanfind.com/forum/

It’s brand new and Page is handling that for us. We only have a few lenders watching for loan requests so far, so you can go ahead and learn the process and make your application.

Make sure you apply in the right forum for the type of loan you need, and make sure you use LOTS of detail, WITHOUT your VITAL personal information posted. You can get to that if a lender approaches you with a personal and private message inside the forum.

    Bye for now,

I need a personal loan of $30,000 to consolidate debt. My husband is laid off and in order to save our home, we need to consolidate our current accounts to one single payment. We know that by consolidating our accounts to a reasonable monthly amount, we will be able to keep our home and still meet our debt obligations. As with many of us on this forum, we’ve exhausted any other loan sources and are hoping that someone with the means is able to help us out.

Once my husband gets a job, our goal will be to pay off our personal loan as quickly as possible.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and time.

    Dean P. Says:

    Hello,
This is really a wonderful concept!

I recently moved back to Tucson, AZ from Edmonton, Alberta Canada with my family after 27 years.

We came here to help care for my elderly relatives, enjoy warmer weather, be closer to my family and start a new life. We have overcome many challenges to be here but currently, our most difficult challenge has been trying to get a mortgage. We have excellent credit in Canada (in the 700’s) but so far, lending institutions are unable to recognize that.

We have always owned our homes and have never missed a payment. We are currently renting a 3 bedroom home for $1000 a month plus utilities. With the current home prices the way they are, we could own a much nicer home while paying $1000 a month with taxes and utilities included.

We still own our home in Canada and are renting it while we allow the market to strengthen before selling.

We feel that owning our own home will help us feel like Tucson is really our new home. It’s the final step in our process but it’s proving to be the most challenging.

We are looking for someone to lend us 100-150k.
Whether or not this qualifies as a good cause or not is not for us to judge but it is a worthy cause for my family and I.

We are happy to provide all necessary financial information as well as excellent references.

We hope to hear from you soon.

    With gratitude,
    Dean

I’m in need of a loan to pay off all of my debt. I have a poor credit score because of past medical collections. I am looking for a loan of $5000-$25,000. I work 2 full time jobs and am very capable of repaying the loan back! I’m able to pay about $800/month for the payment of the loan. My car is in danger of repossession and I’m behind on my monthly bills. I recently moved to follow my dreams of doing hair in a big city and it has been pretty difficult financially. I’m looking for this loan ASAP!! I look forward to hearing back very soon! Thank you!

    Hi,
I’m in desparate need of a loan. As I am in the process of trying to purchase a car, and although I was approved for financing, I still need to come up with an additional $3500- as down money. I’ve been without a car for the past 2 years, with this situation becoming more and more serious, as I truly do need a car to get around. I am a full time student at a well known University in Pennsylvania; with a serious background in IT for 18 years. So as far as repayment, once I am mobile again- that will not be an issue or concern. I am willing to go as high as 20% interest for a one year term/ 12 months payment. I need to acquire the funding withing the next 4 to 5 business days….and again am very serious.
FYI- I am unto the scams out on the internet- so please do not try to contact me- with something bogus, thus; insulting my intelligence.
Thank you-and I awaiting to hear back from someone in regards to this relatively soon.

    Sharon Says:

I used my credit card for living expeses when a business who observed me for over three months while I had to stay put on a visit to see my father begged me to come work for them for a salary and I left a good job to return to my home state to take this salaried position. The company then tried to make me sign a document stating they could take my wage back further and had no intention to promote me to the salaried level. I moved to be closer to my elderly father. I was fired when I refused to sign the document where they could take my wage back further. I was prevented from getting unemployment insurance where the company, verbally recorded by the State, stated we did not have contract, though I had a witness testify how we had together, a lengthy discussion as to how I labored over whether to take the position. The company is in the political back pocket of the state.

I have also had numerous medical bills for leukopenia of an unknown origin. Two years prior to all this above that transpired, I left a job of fourteen years where they squeezed down my hours to nothing, to literally flee out-of-state where I took a simple retail job that even provided me benefits.

Over the years I hung in there working for this fourteen year place attempting to find work and leave, as one cannot get a job when one does not have a job, I also was subject to stalking where some one stole from me and damaged numerous vehicles of mine. While working for this State protected agency for fourteen years they threw away three pairs of glasses of mine for my leaving them on desk top when I had to take them off to perform my job. Even when I realized I left them behind and then returned immediately after leaving work or later that evening the glasses were no where to be found.

The State has toward the end of the course of this fourteen year employment received documents and information supporting my difficulties and ignored these details/facts and chose to create hardship for me.

The Credit Union forced my credit card with $5700 to collections and as I researched their history discovered that this place of fourteen years owns a huge percentage of this Credit Union.

A Judge I went to Parochial school with would not permit me to present any documentation or record of phone calls of my efforts to get back on track with my 1.5 behind month payments of then $135 but all of a sudden were $200 when I was required to talk to another Credit Union clerk who stated my card was going to collections.

    Earl Says:

I am requesting an Angel loan because i can’t get one from a bank or credit union. The reason is that my wife Lucy passed away on July 17th in 2008. Lucy had cancer 4 times first starting with Hodgkins in 1971 when she was 17 years old. Right after we were married in 1975 she got Hodgkins again. With all the radiation that she received in 1971 she had to undergo chemotherapy. This was before the anti nausea drugs and she would lose 12 to 14 pounds in the afternoon that she received chemos. She beat Hodgkins both times and was only given 10 years to live. That means she should have died in 1981. In 1994 I had to go through a little brain surgery. Lucy was more upset over my health than she was when she had cancer! Lucy then contracted breast cancer in 1995. She had a bilateral mastecomy ,255 staples to close the surgery. I never saw the scars I only saw Lucy as she was when I met her perfect. In Janurary 2007 Lucy had a stroke had to have open heart surgery and had stage 4 Lymphoma in her lungs. She beat the stroke, got through the open heart surgery and she beat the Lymphoma. But she had a severe reaction to part of the chemo which left her with only 25% of her lung capacity. Lucy was the toughest person man or woman that i have ever known. I was with Lucy for 40 years and I thank God everyday. My only mistake if you want to call it that is that I always thought of her first and that she was happy. I fully expect to pay a loan back. This would make my life a little easier although each day is hell living without her. I would have died if it would have helped her. Thank you for your time and consideration – Earl.

I can pay back the loan as long as I can do it over 3 years. In Oct I will get my first social security check, we need $3000.00. Hope there is help out there for people like me from legit company.

    Louie Says:

Hello to an angel lender that is reading this I have been trying for a year to get a 20,000 dollar loan from every possible lender on the internet and from our local lenders here in Oklahoma, but have not been able to get one, for the fact that our credit is shot up real bad due to my wife’s Illness of having stage two diabetes and that my insurance did not cover for a year because of as they said a pre-existing condition so we had to pay out of on pocket , causing a very bad hardship and had to get very small loans that added up and some where paid of , but others were not
and some I am still paying on, but the worst is that we are 14 months behind on our home we have tried to talk to the lender from the get go, but they refuse to help or contact us we have a none fixed rate, I have had very bad conversions with them they said that’s the way we agreed to, at that time we modified the loan thinking of getting a lower rate and we did for the first year, but we could not back out due to the fact that they got the loan redone under the new loan program that all home loan companies used and it can not be modified – we are locked in it.

Oh the last rep that I talked to said that they would help if we got up to date on the payments, maybe even wave the late fees and Lawyers fee, that would be OK if I had the money so I could do it and then have at least a couple of grand to hire a lawyer to file on them I know they did us wrong and other loan companies will not work with it because of the same fact of the way the loan was redone.

That is why I write this in hopes that some good angel will help I am willing to pay 300 to 350 dollars per month for 8 years, on a 20,000 dollars at about 8 to 10 per cent interest and will work at paying the full amount with the total interest even sooner then 8 years. This would get us back on track, I am still working and will work for a long time. We just do not want to loose our home, and with this we can get the our loan redone with a lawyers help. Please someone respond to me at (removed for privacy). I’ll talk to anyone and give any other information that is requested so you will know I am not some scam artist, or nut case, or panhandler – I’ll even send photos of us and of our home what ever it takes to get this loan we will be more then happy to comply.

Hope to hear from some kind angel willing to lend us the money. God Bless and Keep All of You in His Heart.

    Thank You, Louie

We live in California and my husband was laid off and as with many families, we find ourselves in financial hardship. My husband and I have been responsible with our bills, always paying on time and have not had any bankruptcies or delinquencies. We don’t want to file bankruptcy as we feel we’re responsible for the debt. However, we’ve exhausted all of the traditional loan resources and are hoping that someone is able to lend us a hand. Thank you for your time and consideration and hope to hear from someone soon.

    Compassionate Angel Lenders,
I am a single mother of three who desperately needs a $5,000 personal loan for bill consolidation and emergency dental work that jeopardizes my health. I am more then willing to put up the title of my 98 Camry for collateral, but do not qualify through traditional methods because my car is more then 10 years old, and because of my credit history and limited income (SSDI). With your understanding, I would like to structure the loan to be paid back within 12 months, if not sooner as I may be able to repay in full in February. I pray that someone will show mercy to a woman battling both Multiple Sclerosis and still raising three kids. I am more then willing to provide proof of dental issue, MS diagnosis, income, and clear title on vehicle.

I am in desperate need of a loan to catch up on my car payments and monthly bills. I am currently finally working but got too far behind to catch up on my own. Especially on my car, it is about to be repossessed. I live in a city I cannot get around or to work without a car. I also run a cleaning business to supplement my income so I can catch up on payments, I need my car to be able to do this. I am looking to borrow the minimum of what I need. I need $2000 to catch up on everything. I have a very bright future ahead of me including a return to school in January. I am a 4.0 student. I work very very hard sometimes over 60 hours per week. I also have epilepsy and cannot afford to pay for my medication right now due to being behind on bills due to losing my job. I get by taking on cleaning jobs and working the only job available right now which is part time at minimum wage, I send out at least 20 resumes a week. I have an interview today that I truly believe I will get the job, however, I need my car so I can commute to this very well paying job. Thank you for your consideration.

I am a 54 year old woman in va. who has a need of a 2000.00 loan. I have one son in college and am the sole support of us. He also works at a local pizza restaurant. I have recently separated from my husband and there will be no assistance there!!!! I need this money to pay off one of his debts that is going to nag me, (500.00) as he got a title loan? He also sold our lawn mower for god knows what. I live in a rural area and need 2 things: 1 a fence for my 2 german shepherds as they provide home security and I work during the day (34 year work history, Masters degree). I also need to purchase a used riding mower as it is riduculous to pay for this. The mower would pay for itself in 2 months. I have strong ties to community, monthly gross income of 3600.00 My credit is not great by any stretch, but now that I have one less person to support, I can easily pay about 125.00/month and have less going out than now. I am willing to set up automatic debit from my checking account, provide employment and character references, whatever it takes. I could probably “make it” somehow without this loan, but my son will be going back to college in 3 weeks and I need that fence. I get a healthy tax return in feb. 2012 and would even be willing to pay in full at that time. Please contact me.

I forgot to add, I am too old to try to scam someone. All of this information contained in my first request can be verified with my employer. I work in human services and have a large network of professional references that can also verify this information. I really do need assistance with this loan as this separation is going to cost me. Changing locks on doors, etc. I would appreciate any legitimate, reasonable offers.

    Delbert Says:

    Hello.

I will provide a good bit of background, so that you may know who I am and what I seek to accomplish. I am 56 years old. I am a practicing Christian, which in this venue is intended to show that I have a conservative lifestyle and believe in accountability. Therefore, I pay my debts. When our sixth child reached the age of 5, my wife decided to change her lifestyle and left us. Nevertheless, I kept custody of our children and was able to put all 6 through college (one of them through grad school, and one through law school). I have managed through all of this, not only to pay all debts, but to pay them on time. Therefore, I have no late or derogatory accounts whatsoever in my credit history. Also, I have worked at the same company for 32 years (in management) and make a very good salary.

Five of my six children finished college/grad school/law school within the past two years. Since all six have been away at school during the past few years, I took out and/or cosigned education loans for all of them. I also gave them credit cards to use for living expenses. Since all six children are now adults and on their own, I now have all these credit cards returned to my possession. I need to consolidate as much of this credit card debt as possible ($60K).
Understandably, I need to consolidate these credit cards and close the accounts. Since closing these accounts prior to paying them off would lower my available credit (on my credit report) – and therefore my credit score also – at least some of these accounts will remain open until I can acquire financing to consolidate them (closing a few of them might offset this fact and perhaps even raise my score – since too many credit card accounts also lowers a credit score). I seek to consolidate all of them and close them all. This is one of the two goals I put forth here today.

The second goal is perhaps even more important. I also seek to consolidate $95K in education loans as soon as possible. These are education loans that I cosigned for one of my children. He just married last year and is experiencing extremely serious marital issues over this debt. This young man has learning disabilities and ran up this large debt because college took him 9 years to complete. Yet, he was neither a “professional student” nor a “party person”. He has always been a responsible young man and worked hard. However, I am the one that convinced him that a college degree was his best security in life. Perhaps I was wrong in his particular case. Regardless, he struggled valiantly (and I am very proud of him) and finally received his degree last year, but he is now working at a low wage – and perhaps always will due to his disabilities – and it is clear now that he will never be able to repay these loans. Moreover, his wife knows it also, and they are not only delaying having children but she may leave him for someone she feels she can have – and afford – a family with. Therefore, it is imperative that I get this debt out of his name and off of his credit report altogether. Moreover, I am already legally responsible for this debt as the cosigner – and am also already making the payments.

I make enough to pay all my debts – including these. I have tried to refinance and/or consolidate these loans in my name only, but without success – due to only a fair credit score. This score is due entirely to the multiple credit cards (which I seek to close and consolidate) and the total amount of education loan debt (which are -> $131K in my name at Sallie Mae + $95K in private education loans that I cosigned for this one son and seek to consolidate/refinance in my name alone + $80K in private education loans I cosigned for other children but which they can and do pay themselves). My only other debts are a car loan I cosigned for one child ($11K – but he makes the payments) and one final medical bill for my youngest daughter (final payment March 2012).

I have no assets to collateralize. My home was damaged by Hurricane Gustav, and I sold it in 2009 due to the cost of repairs above and beyond what my homeowner’s insurance paid – plus the fact that I could see that I would have to be the one repaying my son’s education debts (the $95K that are in addition to the $131K education loans in my name alone) and I needed to make sure that I could make all the necessary payments on a monthly basis. Selling my home gave me an additional $2700/month to pay towards debts. Therefore, I now live with my parents and will continue to do so far into the foreseeable future.

Furthermore, I have spent the past five years paying off enormous medical bills due to the fact that my youngest daughter suffered a stroke at age 16, and had several related complications over the next 3 years. She is now 21 and has made a 99% recovery – and is now out of school and working (so she has her own insurance now – and no more medical bills to speak of). I make my final payment on her very last medical bill in March 2012. That will be the last of about $70K I have paid out-of-pocket to get her healthy again. The reason this information is included here is so that it can be known that I have paid off a great amount of debt already since 2006/2007.

As for my future, should anything happen to me, I have more than ample term life insurance to pay all my debts (including this $95K I cosigned for and seek to refinance in my name only) – plus plenty left over as a help for my children as well. Additionally, my position with the company I work for (and helped found) guarantees me full employment for life – so my income would remain steady even if I ever became disabled (plus I have disability insurance). In spite of the current economy, our company just enjoyed a record year – perhaps the best year we have had in a decade (due in part to an innovative machine we patented that is now being sold worldwide and has applications in multiple industrial markets).

All of this information is designed to show that I am a responsible individual. I do not drink, gamble, or engage in any activities that might inhibit my ability to repay the funds I seek. I live frugally and pay my debts. My financial downfall has been raising and putting six children through college, along with a few life challenges that I have met in the best ways available to me at the time.

I welcome any inquiries, and am happy to give full disclosure in all things. Thank you for your time in reading and considering this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Delbert

I need a personal loan for 2000.00 to clear up some smaller bills and purchase books for my son’s upcoming semester at college. The estimate is about 350.00 plus he is scheduled to attend a college level debate in New York (we live in va.) We are responsible for transportation (train ticket at 250.00 for round trip and food) The college pays for lodging. I estimate the cost of this to be around 450.00 total. I also need to repair a fence for my dogs as I live in a rural area and I have had problems with them getting out. I live in a farming community and issues with cattle would not be forgiven. I rely on the dogs for security and they are family pets. I have a 30 plus year work history, currently a state employee with sufficient monthly income to pay this easily. All of this information is easily verified and references will be provided. Please contact me as I can use the help.

I am in desperate need of assistance. I do not like along anyone for help with anything. Up until now, I’ve been able to fend for myself and not ask anyone. Now, I’m 27, I’m a disabled veteran, going through a divorce, living at a house I rent from my sister. I lost my job, and I’m struggling to even east on a day to day basis. I do odd jobs, and drive 30+ miles to work as a mechanic, which I make nothing doing. There is literally no business. My phone and internet are about to be shit off, as well as my heat and electricity. I have no gas in my car, and I can’t even have my son over because I have no food or diapers for him. I’m on my knees, begging for anyone to help me. Please, help.

If only there was a score for past accomplishments, work ethic and drive! Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am a 32 year old woman living in the Salt Lake City area and looking for a $8000 loan to get my business back up and running.

I’ve never known the concept of failure. Ive always been stubbornly independent and driven with enormous desire to be the power behind my own success. I went to college while I managed a restaurant and coached a middle school volleyball team. After graduation I went to work in the fitness industry where i moved from Personal Trainer to Fitness Manager of a 24 Hour Fitness in less then a year. THEN, at 22 years old, I started my own business using fitness and nutrition to mentor young women through issues such as eating disorders, depression, self-image, etc.. I started with a $20,000 loan which I paid back successfully and as my business continued to grow I went back for a $9000 loan to help give it a big push even further. I hired 3 people, paid back the second loan, and my new husband and I seemed happier than we could ever imagine.

Unfortunately, in September of 2008, Hurricane Ike would start a chain of events that would ultimately bring me this point today. The hurricane forced a huge chunk of my client base to leave town and although my business was not beyond repair, the best option for us was to follow my husband’s business to Salt Lake City. There, I started working on a second book, my first being a childrens book on self esteem which is in Pre-publication. This second book is geared toward toward young women struggling with those same issues but at an older age. My plan was to finish writing as I grew accustomed to my new home and then start anew, by opening a new business in Salt Lake City. These plans, however, would become crushed by the shoe of divorce(size 12). It was a divorce that I never saw coming and has since left me in this new place in quite a financial bind.

My credit score has definitely suffered as Ive tried to rebuild my pieces which is why I’m posting my loan request here. I’m hoping someone could perhaps see past the credit score and find that i AM actually a worthy investment. I have the drive to start and grow my brand to even higher levels than before. I just need the fuel for my engine.

Thank you so very much for your time and I welcome and questions or suggestions anyone might have.
    In Health, Kristin

    Hello,

I am seeking a loan for $5000 to $7500 – the loan is needed for a few reasons. One is to pay off a very high interest loan I obtained online. The other is to assist me with some college costs I will be incurring for my daughter in the next months. In addition, I am trying to make some minor renovations to a condo I own and plan to sell.

I live in MA. I have a good employment history- 17 years with the same department, working for the Commonwealth of MA. I currently earn 79,500 per year. My credit score is in the 650 range – I have a Ch. 7 which was discharged in June 2010. I do pay child support for one child (up to date) and have custody of my other child. She will be attending a university in the fall and I would like to be able to meet her needs.

My employment is secure and my income will only increase by the end of the year. I also routinely obtain part time employment to supplement my income in the Spring and summer months.

I am hoping to obtain a loan with a 24 month repayment period. I realize on paper I may seem like a credit risk, however I have made efforts to rebuild my credit and will continue to do so. I am willing to pay a higher interest rate as allowable by law (20% max in MA.) My previous Ch. 7 was a result of a miserably failed relationship where I over extended my self financially. This will no longer happen in my lifetime.. valuable and costly lesson learned.

Our son was injured in a car wreck in Colorado….not his fault. The man who hit him had insurance with Farmers, but they have not paid a dime. This caused our son to move back home to Texas near us and good medical care. He has a lawyer who is not very proactive, and we have been in this process for over 3 years in getting him healed…one knee surgery, one shoulder surgery is scheduled, possible neck surgery, and physical therapy. UNUM, his disability company (our son is am employee of Consiladated Electric Distributors) stopped paying him after one year. He is still awaiting Social Security Disability. We are professional people, and have worked for everything we have, and have not taken handouts, but our son is not able to make his rent payment or pay his bills. His case will not be tried until later this year. Is there any financial help available anywhere for him? Thanks!

    Hi,
My name is Clint. I am 42 with a 4 1/2 year old daughter. I tried investing in housing 5 years ago and was caught in the housing market bust. I tried to sell my 2 properties and even had a short sale turned down by the bank. My renters stopped paying me and I had my daughter that added to my expenses……and I unwillingly declared bankruptcy.
I am now 2 1/2 years since my Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have been renting and I really miss owning my own home. I found a small house that would give me a new start on life. It costs $40,000.
I am a teacher and I have tenure. I have been teaching for 12 years and am currently making $73,000 a year that I can verify with W-2′s. My credit before the bankruptcy was outstanding and outside of the bankruptcy I have always been and still am financially responsible.
I just want the opportunity to be a home owner once again. I am willing to do everything needed to secure a home for myself and my daughter. I am honest and all questions you have will be answered fully with integrity and transparency. I am located in Connecticut. Your help is appreciated.

We are a hardworking mature couple in Red Deer with a great deal of community service, as well as a history of honest work in our recent past. Sadly, severe temporary medical problems and attendant costs have left us (temporarily!) virtually destitute. It won’t be long until we are back on our feet, given determination and effort. In the interim, our finances are such that gas for our older vehicle, and even food is beyond our means. I have sold all ‘valuables’. I operated a successful gardening and landscaping business last spring. Sadly, my husband was mugged, and the blow to his head caused severe head trauma. The recovery has been slow and incomplete. I am now able to return to work myself, as he no longer requires supervision, he can even help at work now, despite the earlier prognosis that it would be unlikely he would be able to button his shirt.
Welfare nor charity are options we can utilize and still maintain any self respect. The one trip to the food bank was a shameful experience.
Any help would be repaid promptly. Even food, esp. fresh vegetables, would be a great help and we would be happy to re-pay for any assistance as soon as we are able.
we would be happy to provide more details re: work history, past community services, references, etc. Thank you for considering my plea. This was not easy for me to do, I feel like I am begging online…but my hope is for a loan. Those that we have helped in the past were very underprivileged, my elderly (and I think, wise) friend convinced me that there was no shame in asking for help as long as we give it when we are able to help others.
I have, with the exception of this past winter, always performed some sort of community service on at least a weekly basis.
A loan of $100 to $200 would buy he part I need to fix my truck and fill the tank. I can turn this all around from there. I am confident I can repay the loan within a month.

Thank you for considering my request.
    Sincerely,
    Barb
